Dear Sirs,

We confirm our letter of 3rd November and have now

obtained further information regarding the tug-and-lighter

service now operating between Canton and Hong Kong.

on 2nd November,

On Saturday last, 4th November we received a further

shipment of Canes 317 bales - which were despatched from Canton

On this occasion the bales were transhipped

at or near Tai Chan Island and towed thence to Hong Kong by a

tug flying the Portuguese flag. We do not know the number or

name of this tug, but the lighter from which delivery was taken

at the Steam Laundry Wharf () Yaumati was 2832V.

We are informed that this tow put in at Cheung Chau

harbour, as before, during the trip from Tai Chan Island to

Hong Kong.

We expect a further shipment for our account to leave

Canton in a day or two and will advise you of its arrival in due course, giving you at the same time any further information which

may prove of interest.

We are dear Sirs,

Yours faithfully,

DEACON & CO. LTD.
